I have been using your learn addition with playing cards with my kindergarten. He likes playing math versus doing those boring worksheets schools send home.
However, I am little confused on your method on how to teach subtraction. I will go back and reread your material.

while i was in 6th grade, i hated learning math. i easily forget the equations, but now, i feel like i am faster than a calculator! thanks for this wonderful website!

This is a great idea! Both my kids can use this. We are an “afterschooling” family, and can use all the resources we can get. We’d like to start teaching our kids mental math, because we think it’s good for their minds, but we didn’t know where to start.

A great video, thanks! I’ve recently bought your Math Mojo booklets and gone through all your website pages so I can get right back to basics: my mental maths was very poor (although after just a week I am seeing a vast improvement, thanks to your methods). Your booklets and exercises have given me a completely new outlook on numbers – if only we were taught this as kids!

Just to encourage you, I think the video is a great way for people to learn your techniques, as you demonstrated here we can immediately visualise what you have to explain with many paragraphs!
