This was the question:

How do you find the area of a square?

Professor Homunculus' answer:

Find the length of one of the sides, and "square" it. In other words, multiply it by itself, and give the answer in square units.

Example, if a side is 7 inches, multiply 7 by itself, and get 49. Call the answer 49 square inches.
