Interesting Links

Professor Homunculus found these sites interesting. They do not concern Math Mojo or its methods, but they have information which can help fill out your mathematical knowledge and thinking skills.

I take no responsibility for their content, but I have checked them out and have found nothing offensive on any of them. Just good information.

About the Abacus or Abax

abacus.ca - A computer and internet firm, which has a page about the history of the abacus and some pictures of abacii.

ee.ryerson.ca A very comprehensive site about the abacus. You will find and interactive java-applet of an abacus there, and lessons on how to use it. Also lots of history, and a wonderful cautionary tale at the link "Feynman vrs. the Abacus" which explains the danger of using it as a crutch (much like people use calculators).

Puzzles

mathmojo.com/kenken - Lessons on how to solve Kenken puzzles. Detailed video lessons from simple to very advanced kenken.

http://www.puzzlexpress.com/Links.htm A very good source of all kinds of puzzles, from crosswords, to sudoku and kenken and more.
