Stuff You Should Know OK, Mathmojoites and Mathmojoettes, it's time to face the facts - The world is getting pretty complicated, and everyone could use a little dose of critical thinking to try to make some sense out of what's up. You won't find your good buddy Professor Homunculus preaching what you should think, but he will help you get some tools so you can make more sense of what you think. (We can all use all the help we can get, right?) One thing that the ol' professor has found, is that way too many people are sure they know what's right about stuff which they don't know diddly about. (The professor being one of them!) That's why he's adding this new section to Math Mojo. Every now and then you'll find something which everyone should know. The subjects will be far-ranging. At the moment the general thrust will be to investigate things which are good to know as far as current world events. You will not find an agenda here. Make your own opinions. This information is just here for the sake of helping you make your own opinions based on evidence, not wishful thinking. Feel free to check all my facts. Let me know when I goof up! (But please don't send me political or other opinions.) The Bill of Rights Even if you are not from the U.S., you should be aware of this amazing document. It is a shame that it is so frequently misunderstood. One of the reasons it (and many other things) are misunderstood, is because it is so infrequently read! That's right -everyone quotes it, but no one reads it. That's why it is being reproduced here. You can also get a short lesson on what the Bill of Rights has to to with math on that page. Inform yourself. Click here to read the Bill of Rights Poll: Do you know your Middle East geography?
Find out what you and others know (or don't know) by taking this POLL. (Added 23/03/2003) Coming next - Interactive map/puzzle of the Middle East
